3rd Place Winner — Design it Forward Kentucky 2022
One-day student-design competition benefitting a regional non-profit.
Team: Anika Gaska (Identity Design and Presentation), Cassie Pomierski (Webpage), Lily Disviscour (Brochure)
We received the design brief at 9:30 am and had to deliver all of the final deliverables along with a presentation at 4:30 pm. We then presented our day's work in front of a panel of judges and the other 16 teams. It was a stressful but rewarding experience.

THE NON-PROFIT:
A Place to Sleep is a ministry that sprang from First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville, KY, and an official ministry of Presbyterian Church. The main objective of A Place to Sleep is to provide beds for children who don’t have one. It is not a shelter, but rather a bed delivery service. A good night’s sleep is essential to a child's physical, mental and emotional growth.

RESEARCH:
Not all sleep is the same. All sleep is important, but REM sleep in particular is often considered the most important sleep stage. It plays an important role in memory, emotional processing, and healthy brain development. This is also the stage of sleep where dreaming occurs.
